Clashes follow teen protester's funeral in Bahrain (AP)

A Bahraini anti-government protester is helped by another after being injured during clashes with riot police Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, in the western Shiite Muslim village of Karzakan, Bahrain. A fellow protester said the man, who like most injured protesters was being treated in a house, was hit across the eye by a tear gas canister. Riot police and protesters are clashing in several Bahraini towns in one of the most widespread days of protest in the Gulf kingdom for months. Youth protesters, police clash across Bahrain (Reuters)

Reuters - Shi'ite youths chanting slogans against Bahrain's royal family clashed with riot police across the Gulf island kingdom Saturday, trying to block highways in a second day of protests, residents said.

Bahrain riot police clear protesters with tear gas (AP)
